From the customer’s perspective POG Guidelines for distributors are as important as those for manufacturers. There must not be any difference of the level of consumer protection related to the status of the distributor (belonging to the product manufacturer or not, tied or independent etc.).

BdV's comments on parameters and figures disclosing fees and costs, performance scenarios, narrative texts and graphs for investment-based insurance products.

BdV enhances and specifies consumer protection issues related to product oversight and governance arrangements (POG), to conflicts of interest and inducements and to the assessment of suitability and appropriateness.
